Introducing Oikonomi

For more than ten years, I have been managing my personal finances with the great ledger tool. During most of that time, I used aqbanking to download bank transfer statements in CSV format. The CSV would get processed and transferred into ledger's format by a custom tool that would attempt to classify the bank transfer statements and associate them with the right ledger accounts.
In late 2025, I discovered python-fints, which is a more light-weight alternative to aqbanking. I then decided to extend my custom tools to also do the bank transfer statement retrieval using python-fints, and made the classifier part more robust.
The result is Oikonomi.
